It is with great pleasure and deep emotion that I write this newsletter marking the 25th Anniversary of Alex’s passing and the creation of the Alex Tanous Foundation. We have come so far since the first days of sifting through the vast amount of research that Alex had devoted his life to! We are extremely proud of the work that he created and the Foundation that he saw begin before his transition.
We have and continue to celebrate the 25th year in many ways
25th Annual Meeting in April and luncheon in honor of Alex
In May a long overdue visit to the American Society for Psychical Research in New York City by our Researcher […]
Music production was just another innate talent of Dr. Alex Tanous. He not only studied the field of Parapsychology, Healing, Remote Viewing, Ghosts and Creative Living but was also a self-taught musician. He wrote, sang and produced many songs during his early years and during his time in the military.
Dr. Tanous was stationed at Fort Devens in Massachusetts where he showed that he was musically inclined and it was known that this occurred even before he could read. He began writing poetry at age ll. In 1948 Tanous became serious about the business of writing music, his first song was featured in a musical touring Maine and Canada.
By 1966 he cut his first four songs for Chaplet Record […]
What an exciting summer and fall we have had here at the Alex Tanous Foundation with lots going on from our Annual Meeting, Granting Awards, Cal Cooper’s publishing of Conversations With Ghost and a presentation at the Rhine Center! Being in the midst of fall here in the Northeast, the warm sunny days, the crisp cool evenings and the abundance of color on our doorstep; it is a perfect time to re-group, reflect and reposition for another great year ahead. Please enjoy our updates from “The Light”

I would like to say Happy Spring but how about Happy almost Spring as we patiently wait for the warmer weather to arrive here in the northeast!
This week I have been thinking about the 24th Anniversary of the Foundation as well as the 24th year that Alex Tanous made his transition. Alex passed away right when the super highway of information (the internet) became a reality for us all. The many thoughts he would have had about this wonderful tool, and Im sure it would have been the highlight of many lectures. Alex would have so enjoyed being able to access information instantly but would have also cautioned his students in staying […]
Dr Alex Tanous was a prolific scholar and acclaimed psychic of the latter part of the twentieth century. Having created quite a career for himself internationally, and commanding a great deal of respect amongst scholars and the general public, he spent nearly twenty years as an active researcher, and research participant, for the American Society for Psychical Research. He reached an untimely end in 1990, but established the Alex Tanous Foundation for Scientific Research shortly before his death to preserve his memory and […]
