Remote Viewing and Dowsing with Paul Smith at the Rhine

Remote Viewing and the Unity of Consciousness

a talk with Paul H. Smith

Friday February 24, 2012
Stedman Auditorium on the Duke Center for Living Campus
7:30 -9:00 pm

Wisdom traditions are steeped in the notion of "oneness." Perhaps this is because oneness is a state that humans naturally aspire to, yet in the world of disunity in which we live, often find themselves struggling -- and usually failing -- to achieve. Attaining oneness needs more than just longing for unity. It demands the achievement of a spiritual unity consisting in identification with and love for all, a unity that is far more than mere affection for just a chosen few, as we typically experience in our physical world. Thus a key feature of true oneness requires that it transcend the confines of the physical body and actually engage with like-minded others in the extended world.

But what reason do we have to think that we can indeed surpass the confines of the body? Paul offers remote viewing as persuasive evidence that all of us have this transcendent capacity innately, and therefore possess as well the capacity for true spiritual oneness. We just have to learn to let go of our spiritual immaturity that focuses only on ourselves.

How does remote viewing fit in? Remote viewing is an extrasensory skill developed, ironically, for the United States military. It allows us to perceive and experience impressions by mental means alone of a person, location, or event hidden from standard perception by distance, shielding, or time. When one has a successful remote viewing experience, one receives strong confirmation that, contrary to what our overt Western culture declares, we truly are more than our physical bodies. This realization can lead to an incredible transformation that puts us on a different path, with changed attitudes about ourselves and others that can help lead to a oneness in spirit, not just in opinion.

In this talk Paul will explore the philosophical underpinnings of oneness, how it interrelates with consciousness, and how both are informed by the reality of remote viewing. But this will not be just a passive experience. To cap off the evening you will get to try your hand at remote viewing in a group exercise that you will find both fun and compelling.

Paul H. Smith, a retired Army intelligence officer and Operation Desert Storm veteran, became a psychic spy in 1983, when he was recruited for the Army's remote viewing psychic espionage program. During his seven years in the military program he studied under the legendary Hal Puthoff and Ingo Swann, served as a first-line operational remote viewer, wrote the official manual on controlled remote viewing (CVR), and taught CRV to new remote viewer candidates.

Since 1997 he has been president of his own company, Remote Viewing Instructional Services, Inc. and is a founding director and current president of the non-profit International Remote Viewing Association.

Remote Viewing’s “Silent Partner” – Making Dowsing Work for You!

a workshop with Paul H. Smith

Saturday, February 25, 2012
Stedman Auditorium on the Duke Center for Living Campus
10:00 am -3:00 pm

In this workshop you will explore the relationship between dowsing and remote viewing, see actual case studies where the marriage of the two disciplines produced concrete, demonstrable results, and learn the principles involved. You will be guided through exercises that will begin your education in developing your dowsing abilities. Military-sponsored scientific research showed that dowsing is a skill that can be learned, and further improved with practice. In this workshop you will learn the latest theories on how dowsing works. You will discover how dowsing can aid not just in finding missing or hidden targets, but in decision making and predicting the outcome of future events. After basic instruction, you will be guided through dowsing exercises involving both locating targets and predicting outcomes.

Paul H. Smith has a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin, writing on consciousness, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of science. He has spoken on the subject of remote viewing and parapsychology at various national and international conferences, and appeared on numerous national and regional broadcast media programs.

Paul is author of the book "Reading the Enemy's Mind: Inside Star Gate - America's Psychic Espionage Program" He is also co-producer of the acclaimed DVD-based "Learn Dowsing" training program.
